It is based on information collated by BMW UK over the past 90 days of new car sales and aftersales service transactions, where the customers have subsequently elected to complete a satisfaction survey online or by phone. You will also see below customer comments, which are unedited.

I asked for advanced costs on the service only to have £55added to the bill when it came to paying. It was then reduced to the amount quoted.

Lancaster’s offer a great service and I would have chosen Completely Satisfied had it not been that a micro filter did not arrive from BMW thus the car was retained for a second day. Good communication from Lancaster was welcome.

They took out the child car seat and didn’t replace it, leaving it in the boot. Also I had to collect the car from a far corner of the car park where it was hard to manoeuvre.

My only observation is I was asked to pay £15 for a day’s insurance in the courtesy car. As I was bringing my car in for a fault/defect to be fixed, I was bemused. However, the service agent was willing to remove the fee....and I left happy!

There was an issue with my car, where on a routine service it got damaged by the workshop. However the way that it was handled by Matt Freeman in the service team is the reason that the score is as high as it is.
