IBTimes UK rate the BMW M2 as ‘the best car of 2016 so far’11/08/2016
The IBTimes have already fallen for the charm of the BMW’s M division, referring to the time and effort put into the car from a ‘bunch of petrolhead engineers’ rather than what they refer to as a “committee armed with spreadsheets and profit margins”. The blue paint, black wheels and “aggressive body”, gives the M2 its striking appearance; it is the three-litre, turbocharged six-cylinder engine that made the IBTimes UK fall in love from the first mile.
With 370 horsepower, the car hits 60mph in 4.3 seconds. Whilst town driving on the other hand stands not to have been compromised, with IBTimes UK suggesting the car is “easy to thread through roadworks and navigate the heaviest London traffic”.
Although therefore the BMW M2 is somewhat smaller than the rest in the range is packs quite the punch in being both a practical and fun car.
“The M2 is proof that BMW and its M division still know what they’re doing; proof that turbocharged engines don’t need to be dull; proof that smaller really can be better”.
