Car Magazine review the BMW X5 M (2017)17/01/2017
All it takes is five minutes. Five Minutes to turn the most adamant cynic into an adrenaline induced believer. This third-generation BMW X5 defies expectation and supersedes its predecessors in every way.
On the face of it, the BMW X5 M may not appear to have changed much. That is where the similarities stop. Under the bonnet lies the charmingly powerful twin-turbo V8 engine along with ‘a package that’s at once compellingly sensible and disarmingly nonsensical.’
As the impressive V8 engine suggests, this automotive beast does not lack for excitement. It’s throttle response is engaging, it’s power output is scintillating and the drive is nothing short of awe inducing.
The interior doesn’t let you down either with every aspect of driving performance taken into consideration, from the ‘spectacular M-specific seats’ to the ‘awesomely crisp and clear full M function head-up display and the tactile shift paddles.’
All of this combined with BMW’s industry leading infotainment and technology systems make the BMW X5 M hard to ignore.
